This is the General Privacy Statement and Policy („Privacy Notice“) for the Circle4x GmbH.

Circle4x GmbH and its subsidiaries („accilium“, „us“ or „we“), understand that your privacy is important to you. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data, which is any information that can identify you as an individual person, collected via all websites or apps that post a link to this Privacy Notice (collectively, „the Sites“) This Privacy Notice describes how we process and protect your data in our capacity as data controllers.

Please read this Privacy Notice carefully. By browsing our website and consenting where required (for instance, when submitting your data on a sign-up form, or requesting documents from us), you agree to be bound by this Privacy Notice.

Personal data we collect

Circle4x collects information when you register for the newsletter, request copies of publications, register for conferences & events, sign up for training and workshops or seek additional information regarding our services. In case that you do not provide such information, you will not be able to participate in the listed activities.

The personal data collected varies across the Sites and can include:

  • any personal data that you provide including, but not limited to your full name, address, email address, contact information, telephone number, job-title, company name,

  • in case of registration for trainings, your billing address

  • statuses, notes, and planning related to your training registration

  • e-mail communications


Data Processors

Circle4x may share your data with third parties to provide you with the requested products and services as well as to run our website. Those third parties and third-party service providers include our business partners for publications and events co-organized by Circle4x and them.

2. Newsletter

If you would like to receive our newsletter with updates to new articles, events etc., we require a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive this newsletter. No additional data is collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We only use this data to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties. Your provided data and your approval has to be verified via the Double Opt-In method.

We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO. You can revoke consent to the storage of your data and email address as well as their use for sending the newsletter at any time, e.g. through the „unsubscribe“ link in the newsletter or by contacting us directly. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until you cancel your subscription when said data will be deleted. Data we have stored for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members area) remain unaffected.


3. Social Media

Linkedin Plugin
Our site uses functions from the LinkedIn network. The service is provided by LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Each time one of our pages containing LinkedIn features is accessed, your browser establishes a direct connection to the LinkedIn servers. LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our web pages from your IP address. If you use the LinkedIn „Recommend/Share“ button and are logged into your LinkedIn account, it is possible for LinkedIn to associate your visit to our website to your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or how it will be used by LinkedIn.

Youtube videos
Our website uses plugins from YouTube to embed videos, which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

If you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. Here the YouTube server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. If you’re logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube allows you to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour. If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program (see Google Analytics), you do not need to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in the browser.

YouTube is used to help make our website appealing by providing you with high-quality video content, you can consume without leaving our website. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

4. Retention Policy

Circle4x retains personal data as necessary in accordance with our Privacy Notice. The data will be stored for the duration of the business relationship. We may continue to retain your personal data for longer if this is required for analytics and historic record keeping. In case that you request the deletion of your data, we will conduct all reasonable attempts to delete your complete stored personal information.

Your rights
We take reasonable steps that are designed to keep your personal data accurate, complete, and up-to-date for the purposes for which it is collected and used.

You can access, correct, erase, or restrict your data’s processing at any time.


5. Cookies & Server Log Files

Usage-related information when visiting our website (server log files)

Our website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transfers to us. These are:

  • browser type/browser version,

  • used operating system,

  • referrer URL,

  • hostname of the accessing computer,

  • time of the server

  • request IP address.´

This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the content of websites requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. A consolidation of this data with other data sources is not carried out. We reserve the right to check this data subsequently if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

The purposes of data processing are to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on activities on the website. Based on these reports, the website is continuously optimized. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimizing the functionality of our website.The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.
